How Morocco and Nevada Differ on Solar Power

What do Morocco and Nevada have in common? Well, one thing is abundant sunshine. And how do they take advantage of that abundance? Morocco is building the world’s largest solar power plant that will provide electricity for 1.1 million people when completed in 2018. On the other hand the once thriving solar industry of Nevada is in a state of collapse, apparently due to the Nevada PUC’s decision to raise solar power fees – a move supported by Berkshire Hathaway-owned NV Energy.
