Welcome Mom’s Clean Air Force to Pittsburgh, August 22

August 22, 2012
5:30 pmto7:00 pm

Join Sierra Club members as they welcome Moms Clean Air Force to Pittsburgh, learn about the MCAF mission and how Sierra Club and MCAF will be supporting one another in western PA.

5:30 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22
The Church Brew Works
3525 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15201

Author Mark Hertsgaard recently wrote that he is waiting for the outrage, for the sense of urgency, among the nation’s parents in regards to climate change. Here in Pennsylvania, a group of parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, are stepping up and that group is Moms Clean Air Force. The goal of this young nonprofit is to connect the dots for parents between Pennsylvania’s toxic air and its affect on our children’s health while providing tools for legislative action. These “naptime activists” realize that Moms Voices are Powerful and that the fight for cleaner air needs to happen for the sake of those most vulnerable – our children.
